I was born in Port Chester, NY and raised in Southern California. Did body surfing as a teenager--about drowned on Senior Ditch Day in Malibu--but that's a long story!
As a young person, I wanted to help teenagers overcome their struggles. I became a Youth Director at my church (Assembly of God) for many years. I have many beautiful memories of young people turning their lives around for the good.
During the time I attended college classes at night, my husband had been shipped to Vietnam and I had two little girls at home. With perseverance, determination, and support from family, I got my Bachelor of Science degree in Technical Management. We were all ecstatic and had a huge celebration with family, friends, and co-workers.
I landed a great career with the federal government as a Contracting Officer. I worked at several military facilities (too strict for me) and civilian agencies for 38 years. Then I woke up and realized I could do way more fun things with my life--so I retired!
I used all my previous knowledge and formed Executive Sales and Contracting, LLC (ESC, cause I know it's a mouthful) in 2005, and now get to work on my own schedule with enjoyable clients. Through this, I have successfully obtained GSA MAS contracts for several clients for both products and services, coached small firms through the 8(a) certification process, and I still get to have fun with friends, explore nature, and enjoy life to its fullest!
Fun facts: I play the piano, volunteer at a Christian Ministry thrift store, am a member of a Polynesian hula dance troupe, and do scrapbooking.
I have a passion for growing small businesses to their full potential. I want to see sustainability and profit. During my tenure with the government, my nickname with my co-workers was "Bulldog" because I never give up on a project; I see it through to completion. Being a GSA schedule holder offers a myriad of opportunities for small businesses and I love playing a part in leading them to success and growth!

I have a Technical Management Bachelor of Science Degree from Regis University, Denver, CO. My work experience includes 38 years as a Contracting Officer for several military and civilian agencies. I held an unlimited warrant and was responsible for ensuring performance of all necessary actions for effective contracting, ensuring compliance with the terms of the contract, and safeguarding the interests of the U.S. in its contractual relationships. Contracts negotiated and awarded consisted of construction, support services, Architectural-Engineering, and supplies.
After retirement, I moved to Hendersonville, NC and accepted a job as the Business Development Manager and performed Background Investigations with a local small business. They received their 8(a) certification and I worked with them to obtain a GSA MAS contract. Through this procurement vehicle they have increased their sales from $1.2M to over $20M in a few years.
Other duties performed for Equal Employment Opportunities Investigations included management inquiries, counselor, report of investigations, alternative disputes, work accommodations, and final agency decisions.
Later, I took on a challenging position as the Director of a Montessori School in Zirconia, NC. This was a startup private elementary school in which I dealt with the local fire department, state regulatory personnel, and acted as liaison between parents and teachers, oversaw daily administrative tasks and created the Standard Operating Procedures, and procured Montessori curriculum materials.
I look forward to serving you!
